Jack Sephton, from DotVPS returned last month with an offer for his new KVM virtualization based packages in Berkshire, UK for low end box readers as well as some of his other OpenVZ plans.

This is the seventh time UK based DotVPS has been featured here, since they were last featured they have expanded to provide KVM VPS’s in their UK location. Things seemed to have settled down after murphy hit them with multiple RAID controller failures. DotVPS also seems to have started selling dedicated servers from ColoCrossing too, one of which are featured below. We are told that all OpenVZ nodes are now running RHEL6 (.32) vSwap kernel barring Buffalo for the moment. Their nodes consist of E3-1270/E3-1240/E3-1275/E3-1230V2/Dual E5520?s with 32GB+ RAM, 4x2TB 7.2K Disks in a RAID 10 array with 1Gbit ports. General feedback seemed good although there aren’t many reviews, do leave your experiences below for other readers.

DotVPS accept payments via PayPal through 2Checkout and GoCardless for their UK based clientele. Additional IPv4 addresses are $2.50 and IPv6 are free via ticket however only available in the UK.  Setup is instant, TUN/TAP and PPP control and instant rDNS is available via SolusVM. Legal adult content is allowed as well as IRC, private VPN and proxies however Tor is prohibited. As always take a look at their TOS and AUP.
